Atkins Diet (Part 2)

The Atkins diet is designed for any person that wants to have a well shaped body: it allows losing weight and teaches how to control the intake of food. It consists of four phases, and a person can actually start from any of the first three. The best variant would be to go through all four phases because each of them teaches important principles. Although, if a person does not have too much weight and wants to lose just 5-10 extra pounds and learn to find the best balance of foods to maintain their optimal weight, he or she can start from phase 3.

Atkins Diet (Part 1)

The idea of the Atkins diet is based on the fact that the human body burns carbohydrates to get energy, but if a person consumes more carbs than he/she can use, then they turn into fat. Therefore, when meals are full of lean proteins and vegetables the body starts burning the excessive amounts of fat and returns to its optimal weight.

“Healthy” American Diet

The average American eats a lot of fast food such as French fries, hamburgers, onion rings and drinks tons of soft drinks which are nothing but sugar and flavoring. In addition to that they eat a lot of snacks consisting of chips and crackers and deserts: candies, cookies, and ice-cream. A diet like this ruins a person’s body because it gets filled up with fat and sugars lacking necessary minerals and vitamins.

Healthy Macadamia Nuts

Macadamia nuts were originally found in Australia. They grow in rainforest areas on large evergreen trees that have bush shape which is why the nuts are sometimes called Bush nuts. The trees are often used as decoration for their beautiful shiny foliage and unique flowers. First commercial orchards were planted in 1880s in New South Wales, Australia. Later the trees were planted in Hawaii, Brazil, South Africa and a few other countries.
