Chocolate Diet from Neimark

If it is time to lose weight, there is no need to stop eating or refuse tasty snacks: there are so many diets in the modern society that any person can find one which includes favorite foods. There are soup diets, fruit diets, lemonade diets, meat diets and many others. If these do not sound good, maybe Chocolate diet would work just fine…
There have been several diets like this established in the end of the 20th century. The diet designed by Lenny Neimark does not only tell to eat chocolate, but other treats that people like: pop-corn and pasta. All the sources that speak about the diet do not give information about the exact weight loss it provides, but many of them point out that Chocolate diet is perfect for those who want to lower cholesterol level.
Although it is called Chocolate diet, the participants should not be excited that they can eat tons of chocolate every day and become slim. It is allowed to eat chocolate every day, but the amount of it is limited to 1 ounce or approximately one baking chocolate square. As for the other ingredients included in the diet, they can be the same every day or might vary if the dieter wants to try different sauces, toppings and spices.
They do not usually say how long should a diet last, apparently, it depends on the desired result. The positive part of the diet is that one should not skip meals and is allowed to have both major meals and snack times. Here is a plan for every day of the diet:
Breakfast:
• fresh fruit
• fruit salad
• shredded wheat with non-fat milk and strawberries
Morning Snack:
• popcorn
• fruit
Lunch:
• salad*
• pasta salad*
• spaghetti
* = w/low-cal dressings
Afternoon Snack:
• popcorn
• vegetable sticks
• fruit smoothie: Blend 1/2 frozen banana, 1/2 cup frozen peaches (or other fruit of choice) with 1 cup non-fat skim milk.
Dinner:
• fettuccini w/garlic tomato sauce
• whole wheat pasta primavera
• salad
• steamed vegetables
Evening Snack:
• popcorn
• up to 1 oz. chocolate
All Day:
• water
• carbonated water
• mineral water
If a person feels that it is hard to handle pastas every day, he or she should try the variety of them: spaghetti, macaroni, rigatoni, elbows, shells, rotini, fettuccine, linguine, etc. With all these shapes of noodles, the dieters are welcome to try various sauces: low-fat, low sodium, mostly non-meat or others. The same is with pop-corn and salads: they can be plain or eaten with spices, toppings and dressings.
Final, but not least point is that there is a list of items which cannot be consumed. They are alcohol, carbonated or caffeine beverages, salt, sugar, oils, oily fruits like avocado and olives, high sugar fruits like raisins or figs, fried food, dairy products, red meat, nuts and seeds and junk food (chips, candies, cakes).
The Chocolate diet from Lenny Neimark is unique and interesting. It allows eating a lot of things forbidden by other diets: pastas, pop-corn and chocolate. However, its results are not clear and there is no actual evidence that it helps to lose weight or gives any other health benefits.
