A restored turn-of-the-century building on the SE corner of Courthouse Square is now the home of One East Market, a popular restaurant. The Photoshop poster edges effect has been lightly applied in the processing of this image.

Taylorville is the seat of Christian County, and is located about 25 miles SE of Springfield. The population of Taylorville was 11,427 at the 2000 census.

Central Illinois (except Springfield)
: Central Illinois (except Springfield): Photos relating to the middle section of the "Land of Lincoln" (except for the Capital City of Springfield) may be found in this collection. Every city and town I’ve photographed is contained within its own set, and rural (as in "counrtyside") photographs are grouped by county.

Springfield, Illinois
: All of my photographs of Springfield and the Abraham Lincoln Sites are in this collection. For the City of Springfield, there are separate sets for the Capitol Complex, Downtown (including the Old State Capitol), Neighborhoods, Parks, Illinois State Fairgrounds (and past State Fairs), and more. Photographs of Lincoln sites include the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, Lincoln Home National Historic Site, Lincoln Tomb, and so on. Also in the Lincoln "All About Abe" (Set) are a few Lincoln sites not located in Springfield.

Beyond Central Illinois
: Other locales in the United States and Canada including New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Seattle.

In addition to my location-based sets, here are links to some "topical" collections and sets I’ve put together:

Automobile Photograph Collection
: This is a very large collection of images whose primary, but not exclusive, focus is on American automotive classics. Images are organized by decade, by manufacturer, and by topics (such as convertibles, station wagons, muscle cars, etc.)

Barbers & Barber Shops
: Traditional barbers and barber shops are on the endangered species list. But there are still plenty to be found if you go looking for them.

Almost Everything Else. Check It Out!!!
: Included topics range from man’s first walk on the moon to small town schools and churches, and from Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers (our favorite breed) to things that are abandoned, neglected, weathered, or rusty.

Building muscle mass is highly enjoyable when you learn how to do it correctly. Not only will you take pleasure in the workout, you will reap many helpful rewards when you begin to build muscle. Step number one is to know what you need to exercise the way that works best for you. Keep reading to find out more muscle building tips.

You should not emphasize speed over a good technique. No matter what exercise you are performing, slow down on reps and put your focus on your technique. This will give you better results. Do not rush, and be sure to properly do these exercises.

Eating meat will help you build your muscles. Make a goal of consuming 1 gram of lean meat for each pound of body weight that you are carrying. You will be able to store more protein if you eat the right amount of meat which will help your muscles to be able to grow as large as you would like them to get.

Keep the core trio of exercises in mind and always have them in each of your routines. These mass-building exercises include dead lifts, squats and bench presses. Not only do these exercises add bulk, but they condition your body and improve your strength. It’s important to tailor your exercises to include variations of these regularly.

Short-term goals which are reasonably attainable are a great way to motivate yourself through rewards. Stay motivated throughout your journey since muscle gain requires a time investment. Your rewards can even be beneficial for further muscle gain. As an example, get a massage, which will help increase your blood flow and benefits muscle growth.

Your muscles need certain things in order to grow and carbohydrates are one of these things. You need carbohydrates to give your body the energy required for working out. When performing intense workouts, it is important to eat between 2-3 grams of carbohydrates for every pound of weight you carry, each and every day.

Always do compound exercises so you can have the most muscle growth possible. Compound exercises work more than one muscle group at once. The traditional bench press, which engages muscles in your shoulders, arms, and chest, is a fine example of a compound exercise.

Try creating an illusion that you are bigger than you actually are. The way to do this is to specifically train your shoulders, upper back and torso. This causes your waist to look smaller and makes you look bigger.

Eat tons of protein when you’re attempting to add muscle. Protein is the primary building block in muscle building, and consuming too little could cause your muscles to diminish, making your efforts in bulking up useless. You might even require a daily gram of protein for each pound your body weighs.

A good muscle building program should prioritize strength above all else. With time, you will be able to increase the amount of weight you can lift. As a general rule, you should increase your weights by five percent after every two sessions. Figure out what can be fixed if your progress is not moving at this pace. If you feel weaker than your previous workout session, perhaps you have not yet fully recovered.

Be mindful of the different types of exercises you try, as some are not helpful to extra weight. For instance, split squats, dips and neck work will damage your joints if you add too much weight. Use the heavy weights for exercises like rows, presses, squats and deads.

Muscle building can help you feel healthier and more physically strong. Doing both cardio and weight training improves your health much more quickly than focusing on only cardio. Add them together for a fun-filled workout that will help you to see the changes that you are looking for!
